UAE Golden Visa eligibility in 2026: what actually changed

The Golden Visa framework has widened again, and the practical effect is that profiles previously refused now qualify under a different category rather than a different threshold.
The most significant movement is in specialised talent. Nomination letters from recognised UAE institutions carry more weight than salary evidence alone, and applicants who present both are approved noticeably faster.
For property investors, the AED 2 million threshold remains, but aggregation across multiple deeds is now routinely accepted where ownership is clearly evidenced.
Our advice remains unchanged: choose the category where your evidence is strongest, not the one that sounds most prestigious.
